Local Priority Issues

Priority Action Taken

Anti-social behaviour
Use of off road bikes in public spaces - Morgan Jones Park

Issued 28 April 2026

Your neighbourhood officers are committed to tackling anti-social behaviour (ASB) through engagement, collaborative working and problem solving.

Everybody has the right to feel safe in their community, and we’ll take robust action against those acting disorderly and those who have an adverse impact on the wellbeing of our towns.

The team will proactively patrol hotspot areas, providing a visible deterrent with partners.

Several Anti-social behaviour referrals have been issued to Youths identified as causing issues in the area. Patrols will continue to be conducted in the area and Caerphilly South Neighbourhood officers are working with Caerphilly County Borough Council and their CCTV van

Actioned 28 July 2026

Drug use in public spaces

Issued 28 April 2026

Prevalent drug supply and misuse has direct links to acquisitive crimes and violent offences. There is also a link with County-Lines and the exploitation of children.

Drug dealing and drug misuse can make people feel uneasy in their communities and can have an increase of crime in the area.

Caerphilly Neighbourhood officers are committed to tackling this issue. This will be targeted by working with Drug and Alcohol services to assist those dealing with addictions, targeting those known to be involved in drug supply and both overt and covert patrols in areas known to drug use and supply.

Actioned 28 July 2026
